                      Security Code

                      Cielo works hard to ensure the highest level of security in every transaction. Effective immediately, you will be requested to enter a security code during the sale transaction.

                      What is a Security Code?

                      The Security Code is comprised of the last 3 numbers printed on the back of a Visa card, providing even more security to your sales. The code may be requested both for credit and debit transactions, and on POS and EFT terminals.

                      How should I proceed?

                      The procedure is very simple: whenever you are asked to enter the security code, enter the last 3 numbers printed on the back of the Visa card and press ENTER. It is fast and ensures the security of your sale.

                      Should the Security Code be illegible or missing, just follow the steps below on your electronic equipment:
                      - When asked to enter the security code, just press ENTER.
                      - Next, the following information will appear on the screen:

                      1. ILEGÍVEL (ILEGIBLE)
                      2. NÃO POSSUI (MISSING)

                      Select one of these options and press ENTER again.

                      Next, simply follow the usual procedure for completing a Visa or Visa Electron card sale on your electronic terminal.
